Quantitative Methods: Experience with survey research techniques, considerable training in the use of quantitative techniques.

Legal Research Methods: Experience researching legal problems in criminal law, constitutional law and criminal procedure, family law, and property law using printed and Lexis/Nexis material.

Outreach Training Skills: Trained in group facilitation, with experience in the provision of assistance to government officials at the state, county and municipal level. Subject areas include sexual harassment, personnel systems, goal setting, team building and labor-management relations.

Research Assistant on SIX grants from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission for studies of: 1) policy options for reducing alcohol-related traffic accidents via public education campaigns; 2) the impact of the 1986 Mandatory Safety Belt Use Law; 3) local government data needs for the identification of high hazard traffic locations; 4) the design of data distribution to local governments for their use in identifying high hazard traffic locations; 5) pilot studies of the distribution of data and analysis software to local governments; and 6) the effectiveness of comprehensive community traffic safety task forces.
