Sustainable Development in Africa
Introduction
Being one of the last main horizons for which substantial
developmental needs remain, the International Community seeks to develop Africa
while at the same time dealing with the social and environmental needs of the
continent in a way that wasn’t done during the industrialization of nations
like the United States. While any sort of prospects on the African
continent have looked grim in the past decade, it is important to note that
African leaders themselves are stepping up to support their continent, using
initiatives like the African Union to achieve a greater cooperation between the
leaders and between Africa and the Western World.
