Scenario 1:
Competitors in the world market negotiate with Latin American countries
to allow them to participate more equally in the world market, generate profit,
and become a more dominant actor in the global economy. As a result of the
negotiation, Latin American countries, in which the Rainforest lies, agree to
create stricter policies regarding the rainforest's safety. These countries
agree to work with the many NGOs dedicated to protecting the rainforest such as
the WWF (World Wide Fund for nature). Finally, they will infringe serious
penalties and jail time for any destruction to the rainforest. In addition to
that, NGOs will need to prove to the governments of these countries that the
rainforest offers a huge economic value to them, more so than just cutting it down
for easy income. The governments are probably the biggest threat to the
Rainforest.
