Your grade will be based on both your class presentation and the completed portfolio
(due on the day you present). Your presentation and your portfolio might include:

You will receive two grades, one for the portfolio your turn in and a separate grade
for your groups presentation. The following details the criteria your grades will be
based on:
PORTFOLIO:
- Your portfolio should contain more that just copies of articles. Summarize, support,
defend, and/or refute the information that you include. At some point, your portfolio
should attempt to summarize what (if any) contributions the theory makes to your
profession. Portfolios should be well conceptualized and logically organized.
- Mechanics punctuation, grammar and spelling.
PRESENTATION:
- Performance - vocal quality, articulation, energy level, and posture.
- Eye contact avoid reading directly from your notes or off your visuals. Relax and
talk to us!
- Balance everyone should share presentation responsibilities.
- Length - Your presentation should last between 15 and 20 minutes. If you think
youll need additional time, let me know.
- Visuals Effective use of overheads, slides, diagrams, and handouts. (The most
ineffective visual aide is a photocopy of your handout boring!)
Both the presentation and the portfolio will be graded on the following criteria:
- Balance Be sure an covered weaknesses of the theory.
- Organization A clear conceptual framework will be expected. Main points should be
obvious to both the audience and the reader.
- PT Connection Related your topic to the your profession.
